Dear members of Greeley-Weld Indivisible

I am currently in the process of creating a team that focuses on disability and accessibility. People with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, forms of neurodivergence, and other disabilities face a variety of barriers, often created not by the disabilities themselves but from an environment that has not been made accessible for these individuals. Some of our goals include targeting legislation that harms people with disabilities, advocating for legislation that benefits people with disabilities, and making sure that events planned by Greeley-Weld Indivisible are accessible to people with a variety of different needs. Greeley Weld Indivisible is part of a larger grassroots movement dedicated to empowering communities and individuals to take collective action for democracy and social justice. We believe in the power of ordinary people working together to create extraordinary change. Our mission is to unite in a shared commitment to safeguard democracy, hold elected officials accountable, and advocate for inclusive, equitable policies that benefit everyone. Through education, activism, and advocacy, we aim to bridge divides, amplify voices, and build a more representative and responsive government.

We organize and mobilize to stand up for the values that unite us: equality, justice, and opportunity for all. Together, we strive to create a community where every voice matters, and where collective action leads to meaningful and lasting change.

Tracking legislation and providing the community with information to make informed decisions.

The Civics Team focuses on grassroots activism to influence local politics and policy. We support protests, promote voting, engage with local elected officials, and monitor public officials. We report on their activities with information and Calls to Action.

Communication across all platforms to ensure the public stays informed in a quickly changing environment. This team is also lead on communication and event planning across all platforms.
